Bright Horizons Bright Futures Scholarship Alyssa
April aspires to be a lead teacher and ultimately to be the head of the infant department at her center after obtaining her Bachelor’s degree. She is driven to be a teacher because she wants “to show my future classes the compassion and interest in learning that [she] had at their age.”  April is described by her former instructor at Roane State Community College as being “an exemplary student who not only works very hard, but is intelligent, naturally curious, and consistently cheerful.” She loves to see the progress that children make in her class, in particular the infants who go from not being able to hold their heads up to being able to walk and talk and speak in full sentences. April says, “I care deeply for my students and want to see them success. I know in time they will reach their goals and I helped them to do so.” Congratulations, April!
