Bright Horizons Bright Futures Scholarship Jessica
Jessica dreams of opening her own preschool or Head Start program someday, but for now she’s busy getting her certification and education. She hopes to make sure that art and music are part of her classroom and, hopefully, someday at her own center because “art helps children express their ideas, what they are thinking and how they are feeling while being creative.” Jessica spent her student teaching hours in a third grade classroom and continued visiting the children even after she completed the necessary hours for her program. According to the third grade teacher, “Jessica would frequently text me asking about each student by name” which goes to show the strong personal relationships she was able to forge with these students in a relatively short amount of time. Congratulations, Jessica!
