Kathy is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education from Stevenson University and has previously received her Associate’s from Montgomery College in 2014. Kathy has worked as a special paraeducator, assisting students with learning disabilities. As a student who struggles with a learning disability herself, Kathy understands that daily routines and classwork can be overwhelming. She has faced adversity in pursuing her degree and her learning disability has propelled her to work hard to succeed. One of her professors writes, “Kathy demonstrates the utmost care and concern for children’s well-being. She told me once that she believes teaching is a privilege and that she feels honored to be a part of a child’s learning.” Upon graduating from Stevenson University, she plans on starting a career as a Kindergarten teacher while pursuing a Master’s in Special Education. Congratulations Kathy!
