Bright Horizons is in search of a Knowledge Management Specialist who will help to create and execute on a vision for content management within our growing HR Service Center. As our Knowledge Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the Bright Horizon’s employee experience by managing the day-to-day operations and administration of our HR Portal and Service Desk Knowledge Base. We are looking for a team-oriented individual to collaborate with every area of HR and present a unified and effective self-service offering in support of our employee base and HR department.

What you will be doing:

  • Participate in the definition of an HR Portal and Service Desk content strategy, framework, and taxonomy that delivers a consistent employee experience across our HR Centers of Excellence
  • Facilitate the content process and prioritization model to manage and evaluate requests for new content and/or content updates
  • Lead content governance activities, ensuring that all HR content is actively managed by content owners, that it remains complete and accurate, that it delivers a consistent experience across programs, and that it effectively facilitates self-service
  • Accountable for the quality and effectiveness of HR portal content and for ensuring it aligns to a common framework and taxonomy
  • Build and maintain the HR Knowledge Base content to ensure the Service Center can efficiently access resources in support of our employees
  • Use technology development tools and business processes that focus on the efficient execution of the content strategy
  • Use portal analytics and other customer feedback to identify opportunities for self-service optimization and to identify content gaps
  • Partner with the HR Service Center and Centers of Expertise to identify new opportunities for self-service support
  • Partner with the training team to represent the voice of the customer in training related to HR Operations
  • Consult on self-service opportunities in large HR initiatives and projects
  • Stay abreast of Knowledge and Content Management best practices and tools
  • Think outside the box – identify and share more creative, efficient, and effective ways to engage audiences


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent 3-5 years of experience with a complex content management system (preferably SharePoint)
  • Experience with creating user-centric web experiences and resources
  • Strong technical aptitude with a passion for learning new tools and applying new technologies in creative ways to solve business problems
  • Demonstrated ability to use data in decision making and recommendations
  • Detail- and result-oriented with strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize effectively and balance multiple tasks
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Exhibit strong verbal, written, and editorial skills
