Start your new year with a great opportunity ahead! We are accepting applications and starting the hiring process for our February School Vacation Week; a great way to earn some additional income if you teach in grade schools or if you have some flexibility in your own class schedule! Bright Horizons hosts School Vacation Week Programs for children ages five to twelve years located in Cambridge and Boston. You will work with a talented team of teachers and assist in the setting up and implementation for five days of great fun and games for children some of them meeting for the first time; others excited to be back together again! All materials, activities and facilities meet the guidelines for excellence established by Bright Horizons Family Solutions and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As an Assistant to the Lead Teacher you will help develop, coordinate and introduce the children to activities and one another . Our positions offer professional development as well; as you review important decisions with colleagues and supervisors; work collaboratively to maintain positive relationships with parents, children, co-workers and the clients we serve All applicants are required to ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position as well. You will work with a talented team of teachers and assist in the design and implementation of a developmentally appropriate curriculum according to the guidelines established by Bright Horizons Family Solutions and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). As Camp Counselor, you will develop, coordinate and schedule program offerings, promoting the program to customers to ensure enrollment. Determines appropriate field trips and makes necessary arrangements. You will have the opportunity to grow professionally as you review important decisions with supervisors and work collaboratively to maintain positive relationships with parents, children, co-workers and clients. Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age with high school diploma or GED with a minimum of one college level ECE course, with a BA, AA or CDA preferred
  • A minimum of one year of documented professional teaching experience with young children required
  • Individual state and center requirements may apply
